# Released-data codebook

Release: bitcoin-address-graph-v1.0.0
Research methodology: 1.0.0
Snapshot: Bitcoin block 960,000

The population unit is a distinct normalized address record, not a person,
wallet, organization, UTXO, or individual satoshi.

## degree-distribution.csv

- **degree**: exact eligible directed address-to-address transaction-hop count.
- **address_count**: normalized records at that exact degree.
- **scored_share**: address_count divided by 1,364,936,252 eligible records.
- **all_record_share**: address_count divided by 1,530,808,114 total records.
- **cumulative_scored_share**: eligible share at this degree or lower.

The corrected strict-tail statistic is **degree greater than 100**:
28,681,130 records, 2.10128% of eligible
records and 1.87359% of all records. It is
not the degree-100-or-higher survival point shown in Figure 1.

## hub-threshold-sensitivity.csv

Three complete post-Patoshi runs with identical anchors and directional rules.
The post-Patoshi labelled-only run is absent and is not represented.

- **threshold_rule**: textual form of the strict endpoint-count rule.
- **endpoint_threshold**: an address above this count is terminal.
- **terminal_addresses**: deduplicated union of addresses above the threshold
and the frozen curated 54-address terminal membership for that checked run.
- **eligible_records**, **total_records**, **eligible_share**: numerator,
denominator, and ratio for rule-dependent reachability.
- **anchor_count**: frozen declared anchor membership used by every row.
- **source_artifact**, **source_sha256**: repository-relative checked run and
the SHA-256 digest of its exact bytes.

## anchor-set-sensitivity.csv

The 50,000-endpoint terminal run before and after expanding the declared anchor
set. Genesis is declared in the baseline but contributes no outgoing directed
path.

- **anchor_basis**: neutral description of the declared membership.
- **declared_anchor_count**: membership count supplied to the run.
- **contributing_anchor_count**: anchors independently observed to contribute;
“not separately measured” is explicit missingness, not zero.
- **eligible_records**, **total_records**, **eligible_share**: numerator,
denominator, and ratio under the fixed direction and terminal rule.
- **delta_records_from_baseline** and **delta_percentage_points_from_baseline**:
change relative to the two-declared-anchor baseline.
- **source_artifact**, **source_sha256**: unambiguous checked source path and
SHA-256 digest; the two rows intentionally identify different source files.

## first-seen-year-counts.csv

- **first_seen_calendar_year**: UTC calendar year of a normalized record's
earliest appearance in the source graph.
- **scored_record_count**: eligible records in that cohort.
- **share_of_scored_records**: cohort count divided by all eligible records.

This is not a degree-by-year cross-tab and cannot support a degree heatmap.

## anchors.csv

- **address**: one frozen Patoshi-consistent coinbase-output address.
- **membership_basis**: neutral selector label shared by all rows.

The file preserves the deployed 28,583-row order. Both its raw byte hash and a
canonical sorted-unique membership hash are recorded in research-release.json.

## terminal-hubs.csv

- **address**: one member of the frozen 54-address curated terminal set.
- **membership_class**: active hub-address membership or retained hub-only
membership; it is not an ownership or custody attribution.
- **membership_basis**: neutral frozen-set version label.

No entity names, roles, review labels, or retained slugs are released.

## path-audit.json and path-audit-summary.csv

path-audit.json is the complete aggregate output described by its JSON Schema.
In path-audit-summary.csv, **metric** names the comparison, **value** is its
integer count, and **interpretation** states the invariant or scope. These are
full persisted-artifact aggregates, not a random path sample, and contain no
address-level lookup records.

## Package ledgers

availability.json records generated and explicitly unavailable analyses.
source-manifest.json binds every private-build source artifact used to produce
the public aggregates without releasing the private lookup bytes.
research-release.json binds versions, counts, set hashes, licenses, readiness,
and every immutable released file in its stated scope.
